Two-part system that allows XM Satellite Radio service to be seamlessly
installed into "XM-Ready" car stereo head units. The XMDirect uses your
aftermarket satellite radio ready car stereo head unit to fully control the XM
service. Seamlessly integrates with Sony, Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer
satellite radio ready car stereo head units.
The XMDirect Universal Tuner Box is the XM tuner needed to work with all
XMDirect products. XMDirect Universal Tuner Box allows users to receive digital
XM Satellite Radio directly through a satellite radio ready car stereo head
unit. To complete the installation of an XMDirect system the Universal Tuner box
(XMD1000) must be installed with an XMDirect Smart Digital Adapter.
The small XMDirect system allows customers to install the entire system
behind the dashboard maintaining its uncluttered appearance. The antenna which
is bundled with the Universal Tuner box still needs to be installed on the
outside of the vehicle on a metal surface.
