We incorporate up to 24 degrees of rotation of the radio when you mount the
satellite radio to the clutch or brake reservoirs. This allows the user to align
the radio at the best angle for their viewing. Most clutch and brake reservoirs
are not perfectly aligned to the rider vision and makes viewing the radio face
and operating the menu buttons less then optimal. We incorporate a ˝” wide
Velcro strap that goes thru the holder to hold your bundled antenna wire. We do
not have to depend on adhesives to keep the wire tied tightly to the back of the
holders. We have also depressed the center of the holder face so the velcro does
not interfere with the mounting of the radio. All of our holders are designed to
hold the traditional “AMPS” pattern mounting plate (1-1/2” x 1-3/16” bolt
pattern) and the same holder will accept the vent mounting plate. You don’t have
to buy a special mount if you want to or have to use the vent bracket holder.
The Delphi Roady XT for example requires you use the vent mounting plate to
mount the radio on your bike. We use 16 gage steel that is laser cut for
precision accuracy. It is then sandblasted to remove laser scale from the edges
and to degrade the surface for better powder coat adhesion. We then powder coat
the surface with a black wrinkle exterior powder. This powder’s finish is very
durable and the textured finish hides scratches much better then a powder coated
part with a smooth finsh. Our holders come pre-drilled to accept the RAM-B-238U
1” diamond. ball mounting plate. If you order the Ram diamond mount from us we
include all the bolts and lock nuts that you need to mount the Ram plate to your
holder.
